C und M Cafe Bar

I came across C und M Cafe Bar on Tripadvisor while doing research for Grindelwald. Restaurants in Grindelwald are mostly located in hotels but this cafe is a standalone outlet by the main street. We had lunch in this cozy little cafe. There are 2 floors in this cafe and we were seated at the 2nd floor.

We were hoping to get hot cooked food but the only hot food that the cafe serves is sausage and raviolli. The rest are salads and sandwiches. It has always been my wish to drink hot chocolate in Switzerland and of course I ordered my first hot chocolate drink. This 'Caotina' hot chocolate really taste superb! If you want to buy back home, this hot chocolate is selling in the supermarket near the train station.  Happy news is - we can get this hot chocolate drink in Singapore. It is selling at Cold Storage.

It was really cold in Grindelwald but I could not resist having Mövenpick ice-cream dessert to complete my lunch.We order 2 different sundae flavours and as you can see from the photos, the sundae came in big portion. I think it is possible for 2 persons to share one.

This cafe is good rest and relax place to get break from the freezing cold winter weather outside. Food not really that fantastic (I was expecting more hot food) but the hot beverages and desserts that the cafe serves are real good (high quality). Highly recommend this cafe in Grindelwald for a quick meal or a chill-out during the holiday.
